Ally in Black Part 1 – Nara Park and Lennox Gardens Canberra

Living in Sydney, we are spoiled with beautiful beach and bay locations for shoots, but occasionally, it’s good to escape the chaos of Sydney for a weekend away. I grew up in Canberra, the nation’s capital. Having been a part of my sister’s wedding in Nara Peace Park and Lennox Gardens, I made it a goal to do a portrait shoot in the beautiful leafy gardens with Lake Burley Griffin just a stone’s throw away. Ally a local Canberra model was the star of this shoot. Ally’s porcelain like complexion coupled with her great sense of style and professional approach made it a fun shoot. I shot with my Contax 645 medium format camera with 80mm f2 and 140mm f2.8 lenses, and Mamiya 645af and 80mm f2.8. The film used was all Kodak Portra ranging from 160 to 800.

Jolly nice pics. Love the first one’s expression particularly: like a regal creature of paradise approaching the strange interloper with curiosity.

Which ones are Contax pics? I’m guessing they all are but the tags suggest otherwise.
